The Reasons I Write

I asked myself why I write, and these are the reasons I came up with. I thought I would share them.

1) I write because I enjoy creating.

2) I write because I like putting my thoughts and ideas into the arena.

3) I write to get things off my chest.

4) I write for the challenge of writing.

5) I write because I enjoy writing.

6) I write because it helps me to get my thoughts together.

7) I write to encourage and inspire others.

8) I write to pass along information.

9) I write to teach others what I already know.

10) I write because I am a writer. That's what writers do.

11) I write to be read.

12) I write because writing gives me a voice.

13) I write because it makes me feel useful.

14) I write because I believe I have things to say that need to be said.

15) I write because no one can say what I say the exact way I say it.

16) I write because I believe I was meant to write.

17) I write because others enjoy reading what I write.

18) I write because I like to know that others have enjoyed my writing, or have been helped by it in some way.

19) I write because I need to write.

20) I write because readers need something to read.
